The main focus of our VBS this year is to show kids the truth of Jesus from God's Word. This is so very important during this age when we tend to take our advice on spiritual matters from celebrities and of course, Oprah! Kids are seeing and hearing all these people who have the so-called answer or "secret" to life. They are being led down a path of destruction by people who think we can find peace and serenity within ourselves. Jesus warned us of this! His words are recorded in John 5:43. He said, "I have come in My Father's name, and you do not receive Me; if another comes in his own name, him you will receive." How many politicians, leaders & celebrities do we follow who come in their OWN name and not the name of JESUS! Many kids in our community are being lost to Satan because their parents do not put nearly as much emphasis on Jesus as they do celebreties and professional athletes. We need to reach them with this VBS! We need to bring them in and show them that JESUS is the only way!!!!
