Here's a suggestion for some quick, effective decorating... We purchased some big rolls of black plastic (Menards/Lowe's/Home Depot) hung it from the ceilings and created "outer space". We used white lights hung from the ceiling, rope lights along the edges of the flooring. We followed along a hallway to create the feeling of walking through space and then the large group meeting room was the outer space/space station (this room also had the walls/windows covered in plastic).

I'm in Ocala FL and preparing to take the Operation space program to Japan to use at a church planting conference for the children of missionaries and national pastors. Kelly - I am sorry I did not see your post right away. I have never used a forum before obviously don't know what I'm doing. The main things that we had for decorations were our set for the drama and some cardboard signs. I don't think it's practical to transport the set from Ohio to Florida. sorry!
