My church recently had a ladies tea. We have different ladies host a table and they can choose their own theme, anything from casual to formal. I hosted a table and used this oportunity to promote our VBS. I had space themed snack and decorations. Some of the snacks I used were: Pureed peaches, I placed 1/2 cup of fruit in a snack sized zip lock bag. I also did this with pudding. Then we snipped off a corner of the bag and squeezed the food into our mouths. The ladies had a ball with this and I am sure the kids will too. I also had Chex mix and called it space debris. I also made rice crispy snacks and cut them into star shapes. You could do the same with simple sugar cookies and sprinkle them with colored sugar and call it moon dust. The ideas in the Stellar Snacks Guide are excellent but some of these ideas might be easier for churches on very limited budgets. cluc57
