The Director’s Guide walks you through planning your day, no matter where you’re using this Vacation Bible School. We suggest beginning with a welcome, songs, and prayer. If you choose to do a missions project, explain this either at the beginning of the day or at the end.

Follow the opening session with the Bible lessons. This is the most important aspect, so do this immediately after the opening. For groups ranging in age from 5 to 12 years old, use the teaching material for Primaries.

Follow your Bible time with games, snacks, and crafts as your time allows. You may want to offer a game and craft at the same time and let the kids chose which they want to do each day. Finish your day with a quick review game (instead of the daily drama) and sing a few more songs. Announce the next day’s contest, pray, and then dismiss the children.
